Equipment repair
Modern electronics is usually not designed to be repaired. In many cases, the defective equipment is discarded and a researcher buys a new device. In some cases the repair is possible but only in manufacturer's facility. Of course, the cost of such a repair, including shipping the unit to the factory and back to the owner, is usually very high and this often makes the repair not economical. However, many pieces of scientific equipment could be saved with the help of experienced technican for relatively low price. I could consult on repair of many different types of scientific equipment. Among the devices I have repaired in the past are amplifiers, stimulus isolators, micromanipulators, perfusion controllers, micropipette pullers, vibrotomes, centrifuges and other lab equipment.
